No we’re not talking about the first studio album by the Kanye West. We’re talking about people that have dropped out of university and still been pretty successful. It’s only right that we start off by referencing Yeezy himself. Although he did receive an honorary doctorate last year, he did drop out of Chicago state university after just 1 year to focus on his music career. And in hindsight it looks like a gamble that paid off having sold over 20 million records world wide and established himself as a style icon, certified celebrity and one of the lading figures in pop culture.
Thank you SAIC… This is my greatest honor to date and would have been my mother – Dr. West’s – proudest moment. pic.twitter.com/UmbmkJDHhq

Lets not forget the likes of Bill Gates [Microsoft] and Mark Zukerberg [Facebook], both of whom are multibillionaires and both of whom dropped out of Harvard. So they were clearly very clever individuals and are vindicated in their choices to leave university without graduating.
Oprah Winfrey earned a scholarship to Tennessee State University, and during her first two years there she worked at a local radio station. In her final year she decided to drop out and fully focus on her media career. She has been dubbed the “Queen of All Media”, she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century [ her salary in around $75M a year and has an estimated net worth of $3 Billion] and the greatest black philanthropist in American history.
Other notable college dropouts include the richest man in Russia [worth more than £13 Billion] and the owner of Chelsea Football club, Roman Abramovic. Record producer, musician and all round drop dude Will.i.am, Andre “Ice-Cold” 3000 and Carmelo Anthony,
We’re by no means endorsing dropping out of college. And remember that for every successful university dropouts, there’s successful university graduates.
